"Le Briseau" 2015 really hooked me up ! The nose is quite fresh but complex, going from lime zest, yellow apple, sour plum, through some wet-stone-like minerality, to some herbal notes like hay with a touch of honey. There's an obvious contrast between the fresh nose and the over-ripe palate : opulent texture, very ripe fruit, lots of honey, with the right amount of vegetale/bitter roots taste to leave a dry feeling, plus a minimal oxidation that brings length and an intense finish. Ripe and dry, just how I love my Chenin Blanc !
