This is a low intervention (organic, non-certified) project started by 3 friends, making wine for the last 10 years separately. These 4ha in an area called "Canelones", with clay soils, have warm days, cool nights, and plenty of salty ocean influence. The grapes are fermented with native yeasts and the wines are unfined, unfiltered, and zero added SO2. What does the name "Nakkal" mean? In the old tales of Atlantis, the Nakkal were essentially the custodians of energy/equilibrium/wisdom, who would preach the importance of needing collective energy to create balance, using the least intervention possible. A philosophy that made so much sense to the 3 friends Nicolás Monforte, Santiago Degasperi and Bruno Bresesti.
