The Jacopo estate is located in Sugano (Orvieto), 500 m above sea level, at the crossroads between three regions: Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio. This area has seen the birth of extremely interesting agricultural projects in recent years. Jacopo, an agronomist by training, settled here in 2011, recognizing the potential of this volcanic terrain, rich in organic matter. He planted little-known indigenous grape varieties, such as Procanico or Grechello, but also Sangiovese, which he works by revaluing ancient agricultural practices while keeping low yields, in order to respect the soil, the vines and the surrounding nature. and thus harvest very healthy and clean grapes. In the cellar, fermentations are spontaneous, without the use of sulphur: a small production in permanent evolution, a true expression of the terroir and the vintage.
