Voria Bianco - Azienda Agricola Porta del Vento - Marco SferlazzoHigh carbonation (a little too sharp) Quite sour Champagne-like in taste with a slight cider aroma Not as complex and funky as I would expect from a natural wine
Pétillant aux bulles fines. Une petite pointe d'acidité qui vient parfaitement se marier à la galette des rois.
Giallo paglierino luminoso, velato. Olfatto fruttato, erbaceo floreale, minerale.Limone, mandarino, fiori di arancia, leggera affumicatura, nota di menta. In bocca fresco, sapido, morbido. Effervescenza che lo rende fragrante tattile, presente, ma su un solo tono, caparbio, che insiste.
7.4 / biodynamic / $27 / selected by fifi / I've been all about Italian pet nats lately and this one just isn't on par with some of the other excellent ones I've drank lately. I remember really loving this one in the last vintage, but this one is pretty boring. A little flabby. Not bad at all, just not compelling. Wild rice, hay, a little yeasty. Wet grass nose. Nice bubbles, but oddly thin mouthfeel besides that. I know this isn't as good as last vintage, but I've also been trying all of the recentlu available Furlani pet nats, and all of those leave this poor guy in the dust. And it's the same price..i don't see myself getting this again anytime soon. Not because it's bad, it just can't stand up to the competition. I would definitely stop by the winery if in Sicily though. Feels like it would elevate and feel of place. I dunno. I wanted to like this one again. I just wish i bought the alpino furlani instead. Oh well.
