We are in Northern Sardinia, between the historical regions of Gallura and Anglona. The climate is influenced by the winds coming from the nearby mountains of upper Gallura and Corsica, from the sea and from Lake Coghinas. The soils are mainly calcareous and medium-textured and are characterized by the presence of marl. In about 5ha of vineyard we grow native varieties, mainly Vermentino, Cannonau, Muristellu and Moscato. All the farm work is done manually, for the heavier work (tilling and treatments) we use a tractor. Although we do not have certifications, we follow organic farming techniques respecting the times of nature. For now we have chosen not to have them because we believe that a good part of the certification bodies do not provide guarantees and many organic wines have cellar protocols very similar to conventional wines. The land is worked and fertilized (certified pelleted fertilizers, certified bovine manure) in alternate years, we use the green manure and non-cultivation technique. Leaf treatments are done annually with plant macerates (self-produced), as pesticides we only use sulfur and/or copper (about 5 treatments/year 0.8 kg/ha of copper). In the cellar, fermentations are conducted using the pied de cuve technique (indigenous yeasts). Maceration, battonage in barrel for some lines, no correction. Coarse filtration before bottling. Sulphites below 50mg/l.
