The winery is located on the Monterosso hill in the Arda Valley, at an altitude of 250 meters, overlooking the Piacenza plain. Its sunny position and the characteristics of the soil, lapped by the sea millions of years ago, allow for the production of distinctive wines. The estate comprises 16 hectares, approximately 10 of which are planted with vines. All the land is certified organic. The vineyards are trained using the Piacenza-style Guyot system. Grass cover is practiced in the vineyard, and no toxic substances, herbicides, or fertilizers are used, respecting the land, the vines, and their natural cycles. The harvest is done by hand; the time between harvest and pressing is minimal. The grapes are placed in small crates and then processed by hand to preserve all of the grape's characteristics and properties.
Since joining the company, Massimiliano has focused production on quality wines, while preserving all the typical characteristics of Piacenza wines, aware of the need to respect what these lands spontaneously produce. Valorization and respect for the land are at the heart of the company's objectives, which is why it is committed to ongoing research, embracing different vintages, selecting grapes based on their natural characteristics, and applying different vinification and aging methods to produce spontaneous, traceable, and excellent wines; both young, easy-drinking wines and mature, more complex wines. This is how the sparkling wines: Alfiere and Alfiere rosé, the spontaneously sparkling wines: Gutturnio, Lubigo, and Campedello, the still wines: San Bartolomeo and ValTolla, and an ice wine: Emozione di Ghiaccio are born.
No rose wines at the moment.
