My grandfather, Bagrati Lomidze, was one of the most renowned winemakers of the early 20th century.
There is an old joke:
Father: “How many horsepower does your car have?”
Son: “Seventy.”
Father: “I used to get beaten for just one horse...”
Forty years ago, my father began restoring our vineyards, continuing a family tradition deeply rooted in winemaking. I have been making wine in a traditional, artisanal way for more than twenty years. For the past three years, I have also been bottling my wines. Today, I produce nine varieties of Imeretian wine, ranging from Tsolikauri to Otskhanuri.
