After studying viticulture and gaining professional experience in Burgundy and California, Adrien Roustan took over part of his grandfather Raymond Bertrand's estate. From the very first year, he converted the vineyard to organic farming and obtained certification in 2012. This change in his relationship with nature was a natural step for him, allowing him to offer wines that reflect the different terroirs of his vineyard.
The grapes are harvested by hand throughout the vineyard to ensure their preservation and respect for the wines right up to the vat. He is a staunch advocate of hand-harvesting, which he believes produces luminous, fresh, and vibrant wines.
Agriculture is a work of patience; it took more than 10 years to restore nature and achieve a biological balance in the vineyard and the wines. For Adrien Roustan, the transition to biodynamic farming is a continuation of his philosophy, and in 2020 he decided to convert his estate to biodynamic practices.
