Domaine des Pies Blanches - Pierre Pradelle
A few years ago, we were Parisians, I was mime .... but that was before .... We had the desire to live in the open air, guided by my love of wine, my adoration of Pineau d'aunis and chenin grape varieties .... The backpack and hop at work ...

The field of white magpies was created in 2015 guided by a change of life and the willingness to work the land to make wine. The domain name comes from the locality of a small plot of white. Thanks to a great opportunity related to the mutual help, the desire for transmission, and the support of my companion Nathalie Milet, the project starts with a first harvest in 2016.
After a btsa oenology / viticulture, a wonderful internship, I have the chance to start on 3.25 hectares of vines in the south Sarthe in Marçon. The vines have been grown in organic form since 2004, on flint clay with tufa rock, which gives vivid, taut wines with spicy aromas and red fruits for reds; acacia and citrus for whites.
The grape varieties are typical of the region, namely aunish pinewood, mostly with accessory grape varieties such as gamay and côte for reds, and chenin for blanc.
My line of action is to work closer to nature with the implementation of green manure to avoid plowing, and keep a beautiful soil structure and vineyards closer to its "natural" environment.
Regarding the winemaking it is the same vein, I have the desire to work with the least possible suffering and as naturally as possible in order to best express the terroir and the aromatic peculiarities of the grapes.
I try to work in the vineyard and the winery as in my old job, feel the nature of things and accompany them as best as possible so that they express themselves as naturally as possible.
