La Paonnerie - Marie Carroget
The Carroget family has a long line of winegrowers, which did not prevent Agnès & Jacques from training in other vineyards, in particular a few years spent in the country of Tokaj (in Hungary).
Their return to the Paonnerie is done simply by opting for an organic approach not only to the vine but also more generally in the production of wine until its packaging.
Of course Organic (conversion in 1997), Biodynamics, aromatherapy, isotherapy, sewage.
A dozen sheep from Ouessant provide weeding during the winter. Bird perches have been set up around the vines for blue tits and great tits to destroy cluster worms (cochylis and eudemis which are pest butterflies).
Seedlings of green manure (oats and clover) with allelopathic qualities are planted between the rows of vines to improve the soil. 2.5 hectares of the estate are plowed with a horse.
The goal: that the vine is no longer receptive to diseases, that the life of the vineyard is maximal, with animal presence...
All our harvests are manual for the respect of the vine and the grape. All yeasts are indigenous, no sulfur or anything else to winemaking.
Of course an aging to take advantage of the lees (the mother of the wine).
Bottling with or without sulfur (of volcanic origin), natural cork stoppers, from sustainable forests, waxed with organic beeswax.
We print our freedom in the vineyard and in the cellar so that the beverage speaks to us, moves us.
Since 2020, Marie, their daughter, has been at the helm of the estate, and perpetuates the philosophy of Agnès and Jacques with her own identity.
