Karma Village

My approach is primarily committed to subsistence farming, a holistic vision of food and resource production within an ecosystem on which we depend.

Discovering and understanding this ecosystem allows us to catalog its resources; its cyclical functioning enables it to be independent of external inputs. Thus, cultivated plants can be cared for using the resources of their environment, instead of external inputs.

Wine is the main production, with farm diversification only just beginning (since 2020). But also because the act of transforming grapes into wine is a fascinating process that deeply connects humans with the fruit they have cultivated.

The vine is perceived as a mystical partner, ensuring through its long vines and deep roots subtle links between several strata of the physical world, but also between the human spirit and the spirit of nature, through the alchemy of the effects of wine.

That is why my respect for the vines I take care of must be applied flawlessly to the juice they offer us: thus the plots are vinified separately and patiently, without inputs, in order to allow each one the time to give its best expression.

The authentic character of the grape variety and terroir is thus reflected in the wines, which cannot be static but, on the contrary, are inevitably faithful to the vintage that produced them. The vineyard has been farmed organically since 2020 and is currently undergoing certification.

My entire production is of course free of stabilizing, antiseptic or chemical compositional inputs except possibly for permitted natural fining products: clay (bentonite) or pea protein.
