So he chose to come to Trausse Minervois, his mother's family land, where, with a winemaker friend he met during his stays in the Aude region, he experimented on terroirs that seemed promising... and in 1996 he produced his first vintage... restructured the entire cellar, hired someone to teach him the trade... and that's where the adventure began. Encounters with legendary and generous winemakers, and reading Jules Chauvet, helped him understand the kind of wine he wanted to make... and in the vineyard, he quickly opted for Ecocert-certified organic farming. Jean-Baptiste in the vineyards and the cellar, and me handling the sales and administrative side—that's how two Parisians, city dwellers, changed their lives to live what we live today: a simple life focused on our work, our family, meeting new people, and our love of wine. Every day we tell ourselves how lucky we are to have this job, which allows us to live a rich life of sharing and encounters... a life that allows us, as the seasons change, to be there for our three children. A life where time is marked by the seasons, with significant moments like the grape harvest, of course, or pruning, a time for reflection and preparation for the next vintage... and moments more focused on sales. We are fortunate to be in a region where nature is preserved, and even though the climate is harsh, which has left its mark on the people, it is an authentic region.
