On this wine-growing estate, certified organic since 2015 and committed to biodynamics, Bertrand has brought new life to a terroir long neglected after the grubbing-up premium of the 1970s, which had favored cereal crops to the detriment of vines in the Comminges region.
In the heart of this plain surrounded by hillsides, 50 km from the Pyrenees, the estate extends over 10 hectares of vines planted on the terraces of the Garonne, a sedimentary soil composed of gravel, silt and rolled pebbles. This rich terroir, combined with the diversity of fauna and flora, allows Bertrand to cultivate a wide range of grape varieties such as Syrah, Merlot, Mauzac, Chenin, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Artaban and Floréal. Each variety fully expresses the typicality of Comminges through red, white, rosé and natural sparkling wines.
Bertrand's approach is based on a deep respect for nature. His commitment to biodynamic agriculture was strengthened in 2021 with the arrival of a Percheron mare, who accompanies him in the animal-drawn vineyard work. This gentle cultivation method takes into account each element of the ecosystem to better support the vine.
Domaine de Cadeillac is today a company in full evolution, faithful to its values of respect for the land and constant innovation. In addition to its wine-growing activity, the estate offers wine tourism services with guided tours of the vineyard and on-site tastings. Upon reservation, wine lovers can discover this unique heritage.
In addition to his work in the vineyard, Bertrand organizes events that have become essential in his sector, such as the Trail des Vignes in November and the Jazz Evening in July.
