Passion and extensive archival work have brought back to life this living landscape of the hills of the Seine in Giverny (27620). “Les Vignettes”, a pre-phylloxeric plot of 0.8 hectares, was reborn in 2018, planted with 6,400 vines of Chardonnay. The vine flourishes on a very steep hillside, and takes root in the soft Silex limestone. Cultivated in agro-ecology and animal traction, this plot is worked as a natural entity within a landscape with a complex and fragile balance (natural reserve), a living heritage. Natural vinification, without input. Just protected with sulfur at the press and put in place. Fermentation with native yeasts, unfiltered, unfined.
