For several decades, the Laurent family has tried to pass on their passion for wine through the vintages of Château l'Escart, from 37 hectares of single vineyards in Saint-Loubès.

Damien and his team are committed every day to transmitting know-how and sensitivity to produce each year an exceptional wine but above all one of emotion.

History

The Quality and excellence of great wines depend essentially on the quality of the grapes. An obvious fact that is worth remembering and which is a motto for us. Quality is also the reason. We take great care in maintaining the vineyard so that it naturally resists parasites, with as few treatments as possible. Thus, each harvest preserves intact the natural riches specific to the grapes and the territory.

The environment

The land we cultivate saw our parents work and will see our children and grandchildren work. Because it does not belong to us, we must respect it. Our motto is: “Produce high quality wines while respecting the land that we borrow from our children”. Today we are convinced that the quality of our wines is directly linked to the respect we bring to this terroir that we love and which gives birth to them.

The outcome

It is with this concern for affection for the terroir that we decided to implement a long-standing project: the conversion to biodynamics. We continued to observe and work the land with respect, passion and tradition. A wine is above all a personality, a terroir and a vine. Thanks to a strong commitment to respect for our terroir, we have succeeded in growing our vines so that they give us rich and natural fruit for surprising wines. Will they also give you this emotion?
