Château Franc La Fleur - Christian Jacquement

Château Franc la Fleur is a small wine estate of 1ha50 from the Castillon Côtes De Bordeaux appellation. This vineyard was planted entirely in 2001, it has been organically grown since its creation and made up of the three typical Bordeaux grape varieties, 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc. Treatment with copper and sulfur as well as maceration plants Nettle, fern, horsetail...etc. Since the first harvest in 2004, the harvest has been manual, three successive sortings are carried out before being placed in vats with a bucket; vinification is carried out in 16 and 25 hl stainless steel vats, manual punching down is carried out twice a day during alcoholic fermentation, indigenous yeasts, without sulphites since 2016, run off in barrels after 3 weeks of maceration, aging in 225l barrels or 400l barrels for 12 to 24 months depending on the vintage.
