1661 ANTOINE FLEITH gives the first pick in a vineyard. Ernest, Vincent's grandfather, vinified and sold his wine. 1970 RENÉ, Vincent's father, takes over with 4 hectares of vines. 1973 he builds a brand new domain in the middle of the vineyards. 1977 he begins to sell his wines. 1996 VINCENT takes over the 9 hectares in production. He never left Alsace, except to go to work in the Beaujolais, California and Australia. Vincent continues the work started by his parents but he wish to go further. Active member of the Vignes association Living, he thought tirelessly about his practice as a winemaker. In 1994, Vincent removed synthetic fertilizers, chemical weedkillers and pesticides. Instead, it works the soil to promote flora and fauna. Lupins, dandelions, daisies, poppies, wild garlic bloom again in the vines; bees and many other insects repopulate them. 1999, 2000, 2001, LA BIODYNAMIE starts with trials and the wines change radically. Label AB in 2008, DEMETER label for biodynamics: it's the best way to say what we do and do what we say. Vinification consists of doing as little as possible: exclusively indigenous yeasts, very little sulfur, no chaptalization, zero aromatic yeasts.
