Domaine de la Touraize

Our domain (Organic Arbois Wines) is located in Arbois, capital of the wines of Jura. Long before us, 8 generations of winemakers worked on family land with passion, pride and love for their land. We are fortunate today to cultivate 13 ha of vines in AOP Arbois on the historic terroirs of the appellation: Corvées, Curoulet, On the coast, La Touraize .... We cultivate all Jurassic grape varieties: Chardonnay, Savagnin, Ploussard , Trousseau and Pinot Noir. The exposure of our plots and the configuration of our soils are very varied: blue marls, so-called clay-limestone and clay-silt marls, fatty gravels on marls. Thanks to this variety of soils, we vinify many vintages in plot selection. We practice organic viticulture that respects the environment, to maintain biodiversity, preserve soil, water, air and human health. Our grapes are harvested by hand. In the cellar, the fermentation takes place naturally in indigenous yeasts, without chaptalization.
