"It was in 1988 that the story of wine began at Maison Bonnard. The two brothers, Roland and Frédéric, settled in with one hectare of vines, amidst the mixed farming activity of their parents.
Today, thirty years later, the estate covers 16 hectares, with a new generation joining the ranks... Romain and Anne-Sophie.

IN THE VINEYARD...

In the heart of the Bugey, a vineyard nestled between Savoy, Jura, and the Rhône Valley, lies the small village of Crept. Here, the raw beauty of the landscape reveals a contrasting topography with breathtaking views. Over the years, we have managed to discover terroirs that speak to us and allow us to create the wines we love. Our vines are planted on the steep slopes of Montagnieu, ranging from 30 to 70% gradient. Limestone scree for Mondeuse and Pinot Noir. Deep clay soils for Altesse. And clay-
Limestone soils composed of rounded pebbles are used for Chardonnay and Gamay. We have always worked with traditional, common-sense methods; then, vintage after vintage, biodynamic farming emerged as the obvious choice. This allows us to respect and best reveal the authenticity of our terroirs.

IN THE CELLAR...

In keeping with the work done in the vineyard, we vinify and age our wines by letting nature take its course. This allows us to offer pure wines, free from additives except for a minimal amount of sulfur at bottling. Our work process is rigorously synchronized with the lunar calendar.
By letting nature take its course, we succeed in obtaining pure wines, wines of character, with a typicity that reflects our terroirs and our Alpine grape varieties. Three words to describe our wines: healthy, magnetic, and balanced.
