Bar Caviste
Light orange with amber reflections. Apricots, orange peel, lemon mint, green tea. Pure and elegant orange wine with great length. A special one with charisma. Place/soil/terroir: loamy loess soil with red sandstone subsoil on a southern slope Grape variety and harvest: Cabernet Blanc*, 40 hl/ha, hand picked on 17.09.2020, on a fruit day of the lunar calender. *Cabernet blanc is a white German/Swiss wine grape variety that is a crossing of Cabernet Sauvignon and Regent. Winemaking: cold maceration of 12 hours, 10 days skin contact, long pressing time, low pressure, spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in vats at 22-24°C, aging in used barrels with occasional bâtonnage for 12 months, no fining, no filtration, no sulfure added. Serving temperature: 12-14 °C Alc. 13,5% Winemaker: Thomas Harteneck Certified biodynamic, working with nature under the strict guidelines of DEMETER. Place: Baden, south of Germany.
