Patrick Meyer took over the family vines (Julien MEYER) in 1982. He very quickly directed him to Organic Agriculture by banning synthetic products from 1990, minimizing sulfur from 1993, and obtained the "Biodynamic" label in 1999. Les vines (and wines) are Ecocert and Demeter certified. Various terroirs extend around Nothalten in the Bas-Rhin, at the foot of the Vosges. Heinsenberg, Heisenstein, Muenchberg, Zellberg and Grittermatte are composed of various soils of gneiss, clays, shales and sands. In addition, with vines at around 250 m above sea level and the least rainy climate in France, hence a slower maturation, Patrick Meyer chooses to vinify his plots separately before any blends. The 7 Alsatian grape varieties are present at Patrick and Mireille Meyer's on almost 10 hectares.
