La Cave Verdier Logel is a family story that began in 1992. Forerunners of organic farming in the Forez vineyard, the winegrowers strive to enhance the appellation's terroirs through plot selections on granite or basalt. Throughout the season the soils are worked mechanically to maintain a grass cover in balance with the development of the vine. Particular attention is paid to green work to control the vines' vegetative cycle, control yield and guarantee good maturity: disbudding, leaf stripping, green harvest. The treatments respect the biological specifications and use copper and sulfur only. The harvest is manual, which allows the grapes to be sorted on the ground, also in the cellar, and to vinify a harvest of optimum quality. We attach great importance to the recognition and respect of the staff who work in our vines. We hire seasonal workers from the region to deal with periods of increased activity. Our pickers are loyal and come back every year to participate and celebrate the harvest, the result of the work carried out throughout the year, with us. "Rubbing your brains against that of others" could be our motto for progressing together and making our appellations known "
