Born out of a desire for independence and a desire for freedom, the Vignoble du Rêveur is a new chapter in the history of our maternal grandfather's family vineyard. No grape purchases, only the truth of grapes from our own vineyard; in short, a peasant dream! All his life, our grandfather fought for his independence, his only true freedom! Serving this vineyard is today a tribute to this struggle, to this ideal, and an extension of his Dream. Refound this dream, rebuild a future without restrictions, reinvent the wine to its definition, break the codes, spread the walls and open your eyes, to say that anything is possible! Only one thread, that of nature as universal truth, that which does not cheat! It is only natural that the entire vineyard has been re-converted to organic and biodynamic farming, ultimately so long dominant in the history of farming if we take a step back! Having gradually taken over the vineyard over time, some organic vintages will cohabit for a while with others still in conversion. The Dreamer is barely dozing, the dream is just beginning, so many things to test yet, to rediscover. A project for the years to come: regaining control of the maceration vinifications for our white grapes, the “Singulier” cuvée is a first draft! The removal of sulfur for these naturally structured wines is ideal!

Né d’une volonté d’indépendance et d’un désir épris de liberté, le Vignoble du Rêveur est un nouveau chapitre dans l’histoire du vignoble familial de notre grand-père maternel. Aucun achat de raisin, uniquement la vérité des raisins de notre propre vignoble; en somme un rêve paysan ! Le vignoble s'étend sur 7 hectares sur la commune de Bennwihr..

Toute sa vie, notre grand-père lutta pour son indépendance, sa vraie seule liberté ! Servir ce vignoble est aujourd’hui un hommage à cette lutte, à cet idéal, et un prolongement de son Rêve. Refonder ce rêve, reconstruire un futur sans restrictions, réinventer le vin jusque dans sa définition, casser les codes, écarter les murs et ouvrir grand les yeux, pour se dire que tout est possible!

Un seul fil, celui de la nature comme vérité universelle, celle qui ne triche pas ! C’est tout naturellement que l’ensemble du vignoble a été re-converti à l’agriculture Biologique et Biodynamique, finalement si longtemps dominante dans l’histoire de l’agriculture si l’on prend un peu de recul ! Ayant repris progressivement le vignoble dans le temps, certaines cuvées en bio cohabiteront quelques temps avec d’autres encore en conversion.

Le Rêveur est à peine assoupi, le rêve ne fait que commencer, tant de choses à tester encore, à redécouvrir. Un projet pour les années à venir: retrouver la maîtrise des vinifications en macération pour nos raisins blancs, la cuvée «Singulier» en est une première ébauche! La suppression du soufre pour ces vins naturellement structurés étant un idéal !
