Souvignier Gris, Muscaris, Solaris - NB - Noord-Brabant
Orange wine made of 80% souvignier gris and 20% muscaris. Both are Piwis: fungus resistant varieties, which makes it possible to grow them without using any copper or other fungicides in the vineyard. Very important because copper accumulates in the soil, poisoning soil life. Grapes were hand harvested by lovely people, destemmed, skin maceration for 25 days during (spontaneous) fermentation. The wine is fresh, light in alcohol, tones of peach, orange blossom, jasmin. Subtle bitter tones, well structured, light finish. A delightful summer wine to be enjoyed well chilled on a warm day.
