Barbara Magugliani & Joan Carles Torres · La Gutina
Oui: We leave in an ancient rural house with rooms for guests. We share life with persons who come in harvest helping us. We share the kitchen and the bathroom. We have a little swimming pool, a terrace to stay and a lot of space outside.
Let's talk about the economic issue in person, writing o calling us!
We are looking for volunteers who would like to share this experience with us in a warm, authentic, and informal environment. We are not simply looking for help in the vineyard: we enjoy creating a close-knit group where work, conviviality, good food, wine, and long conversations all come together, so that La Gutina remains a unique and special place in everyone's memories.
The harvest usually takes place between August and September and lasts about a month, although the actual grape-picking days are normally around fifteen. We work mainly in the mornings, when temperatures are more pleasant. Those who join us for the harvest will help pick the grapes and can also take part in the winemaking process in the cellar, which is always carried out at a slow, relaxed, and collaborative pace.
We offer accommodation and meals in our farmhouse. Guests stay in dedicated rooms, and there is a small swimming pool where you can relax after work. The house is spacious, with a shared kitchen and shared bathrooms.
We ask for a minimum stay of five days so that everyone has time to settle into the rhythm of the house and become part of the group. However, we are flexible depending on room availability.
On days when there is no harvesting to be done, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the surrounding area. The Mediterranean Sea is only a 20-minute drive away, and the region offers beautiful landscapes, walking trails, and charming villages to explore.
We would love to welcome people who are open-minded, curious, and collaborative—people who are interested not only in working together but also in sharing everyday life. Sometimes this may include helping with cooking or other small household tasks. Everything happens in a spirit of mutual cooperation, where everyone contributes according to their abilities.
For us, harvest is much more than work. It is a celebration marking the end of a year spent caring for the vineyard and the beginning of the journey that transforms grapes into wine. It is a time to share food, wine, stories, and life itself.
If you would like to get your hands dirty, learn something about wine, and spend a few days immersed in the countryside, we would be delighted to welcome you.
We look forward to sharing energy, wine, nature, and meaningful conversations with you.
