Le Catarratto Porta Del Vento est produit par Marco Sferlazzo, sur les collines de Camporeale, non loin d'Alcamo (Sicile), à 600 mètres d'altitude. 14 hectares de vignes plantées voici plus de 40 ans sur des versants sablonneux très exposés au vent. La production de cet IGT est biodynamique. La camomille sauvage prolifère entre les ceps. Un vin blanc frais, salin, presque pétillant, aux arômes d'agrumes et de... camomille! (le Catarratto est un cépage autochtone; j'ai beaucoup apprécié aussi le Catarratto de Nino Barraco, servi chez Crocifisso, à Noto).
Amazing discovery!!! First great vintage of the winery. Full of sicilian bouquets. The sun, the sand and the wind. After 12 years it appears still young and fresh... Perfect match with bbq smoked swordfish, Jamón ibérico and homemade “buccellato”
