We were told by le caviste that 2017 was an exceptionally hot year and so this particularly vintage is a little different. We were also told it needed time. But not having time, we opened it. Enjoyed slightly cool (but not cold) to start and warmed throughout the evening. A slight no-additives pong blows off quickly, and you’re left with a really interesting delicious light red. Shares a likeness to Momento Mori in West Gippsland, Australia.
