In 2012, Valais took my breath away, like an unexpected, luminous encounter that leaves a lasting impression. Six years later, in 2018, fate led me to Fully, where I accompanied Marie-Thérèse Chappaz. Three and a half years spent by her side instilled in me a certainty: it was here, in these mountains, that my quest would find its meaning.
In 2022, the land fulfilled my dreams. A first plot welcomed me, like a haven, and soon my winegrowing friends from Chamoson placed their trust in me, offering me the opportunity to work a few very well-situated plots. A small range was born, nourished by stories and know-how.
I had come a long way. From Domaine Tripoz, in the Mâconnais, where I learned to listen to nature. From years with the Bret brothers in Vinzelles, where no selected yeast disrupted fermentation, where sulfur became almost a whisper. And from the teachings of Pierre Masson, this man who held high the wisdom of biodynamics rooted in agronomy. There, a deep conviction was forged: no chemical product would ever touch my vines or my wines.
In winter, I sow green manures to strengthen the soil. I prepare herbal teas and fermented extracts to stimulate the vine's natural defenses. Biodynamic preparations punctuate each season, a delicate breath of fresh air to harmonize the plant. Since 2022, compost tea has become a routine, an ode to life that enriches each season.
In the cellar, nature continues its work. Only indigenous yeasts shape my wines, and sulfur, if it intervenes, remains a subtle, volcanic touch, respectful of all that has been accomplished in the vineyards. Thus, each bottle tells a story, colorful, rich in flavor, born of the earth and the stars. And in this adventure, I am only a ferryman, hoping that my wines, one day, will seduce you and resonate within you like an echo of these mountains that have given me so much.
