Our father spent his whole life making conventional wine. After he retired, the small winery (winemaking was never his main job) remained closed for three years, and the grapes were sold to the local cooperative. So, in 2014, we decided to reopen it—under a new name and with a new philosophy. Today, we export around 50% of our production, while the other half is sold to restaurants and wine shops across the Canary Islands. We also welcome visitors and offer tastings at our Finca Locartas, by reservation and for small groups. We currently farm 12 small plots planted with local grape varieties such as Listán Blanco, Listán Negro, Marmajuelo, Albillo, and Vijariego. All the vines are planted on their own roots, without American rootstock. We don’t use any chemical products in the vineyards—everything is done by hand, and treatments consist of sulfur, bentonite, and a few plant-based preparations. We produce a total of 8 different wines, both still and sparkling (pet-nats), in our small garage winery located in the village of Arafo. All our musts ferment spontaneously with indigenous yeasts and contain no additives, except for a small amount of sulfites added just before bottling. Our aim is to craft wines with soul—natural wines that express the volcanic terroir of southern Tenerife
No rose wines at the moment.
