Altra Via is a small rural project that takes shape in June 2020.
It was born from an idea by Paolo Roberto Manso, who after more than ten years spent mixing and studying wine in the capital, and after some experience around Italy at other wineries, decided to give shape to his own idea of wine, and of life.
It is in Umbria that this desire finds refuge, a region closely linked to tradition but constantly changing, capable of welcoming new perspectives and new challenges.
Altra Via is located in the municipality of Bevagna, on the northern side of the Martani Mountains, in the middle of the Umbrian Valley.
It manages approximately 2 and a half hectares of vineyards, completely excluding invasive agricultural practices that could in any way alter the balance of the places where the vineyards are located. He mainly grows Sangiovese, Trebbiano Toscano and Grechetto.
All processes, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, take on an artisanal dimension, completely excluding synthetic substances and winemaking aids.
In the cellar the fermentations are conducted spontaneously, without the aid of winemaking aids. The subsequent steps of the transformation take place in a completely artisanal way. The wines, where possible, are bottled without the addition of preservatives (maximum total sulfur found 20 mg/l)
No white wines at the moment.
No sparkling wines at the moment.
