FATTORIA LAVACCHIO BIOWINERY is one of the very few wineries in the prestigious CHIANTI RUFINA region to produce high-quality natural wines, integrating organic methods with biodynamic practices according to the VINNATUR protocol. Owner FAYE LOTTERO and her young team combine experience, knowledge, and curiosity to create bold, elegant, and fun wines—in a word: UNIQUE .
The farm is located on a very breezy ridge 500 meters above sea level between Pontassieve and Rufina. Among these wonderful landscapes is also one of the last remaining windmills in Tuscany.
Compared to other traditional wineries, Fattoria Lavacchio stands out for its international vocation, exploring new frontiers in winemaking. It strives to produce wines with low alcohol content, low histamine levels, and minimal sulfites, aiming to express the precious terroir of Rufina in its full spectrum of nuances, all yet to be discovered.
Each vintage is therefore unique and linked to the seasonality which makes it a precious photograph!
Among the many new products added every year, we'd like to highlight BOUQUET , the first Tuscan agricultural vermouth, produced exclusively with the farm's botanicals; our zero-alcohol organic grape juice; and our line of low-alcohol PURO refermented vermouths made with Tuscan Traminer grapes. This is just the beginning of an immersive experience featuring 14 labels (plus our LAUDEMIO organic olive oil), each with unique characteristics, perfect for thrilling your senses with something (hopefully) you haven't yet tasted.
Our work, our passion, our goal is to be memorable by entering into symbiosis with nature through minimal technical intervention: because the beauty of the vine is also that of life, where wine has been in the middle, celebrating both for over two thousand years!
