Located in the beautiful Piedmont region, among the Tortona Hills, specifically in Momperone, Vino e le Rose is an estate surrounded by vineyards with spectacular views, 450 meters above sea level. Despite the site's natural beauty, the vineyards had been abandoned for over 12 years, so the first step was to reclaim the abandoned vineyards of native Timorasso and Cortese varietals, followed by the creation of a winery with the goal of transforming the passion for fine, authentic, and natural wine into a true vision for the future.
Our goal
The name Il Vino e le Rose (Wine and Roses) refers to the "bread and roses" slogan of the Lawrence textile strike of 1912, in which workers demanded fair wages and decent working conditions. Therefore, our goal is to produce authentic wines accessible to all, respecting nature and its expression. Ours is a story to be written without forgetting the past, with a solid path forward: land conservation, defense and promotion of the land, environmental sustainability, and organic production.
Our wines
We produce both white and red wines from six different native grape varieties. The three hectares of Cortese and Timorasso (white grape) vineyards are located on our Momperone estate. The two red grape varieties, Dolcetto and Barbera, each covering 5,000 square meters, are located at the bottom of the valley between Brignano and Momperone. A further 5,000 square meters in the small village of Livelli are dedicated to Pinot Noir and Croatina. We also grow and produce Nebbiolo on half a hectare of land in Roero. Our vineyards are completely organic: almost zero copper, low sulfur, and primarily orange oil and bicarbonate, along with garlic and nettle macerates and whey.
No rose wines at the moment.
