"ICARO is a small project to rediscover the Castelli Romani. We want to raise awareness of the grapes and wines of this volcanic land, brazenly suited to the vineyard and yet without a voice. We want to do it in a natural and popular key, anti-elitist and understandable to all. We want to bring the Vino dei Castelli back to the people of Rome in the truest, simplest and most direct way possible. We don't want to do it alone, but by creating the most beautiful and powerful network of people, producers, wine bars and clubs willing to believe in this idea. And we want to have fun. Seriously." The grapes were purchased from third parties in 2022 and will instead come mostly from owned vineyards starting from 2023/2024. All wines are table wines. Depending on the vintage, small quantities of SO2 can be added always and only before bottling. The total sulfur dioxide is always well below 40mg/l for all wines.
