Lo stiamo recuperando, assieme a un piccolo gruppo di produttori. Storicamente andava a concorrere con la Barbera nel rosso di Bologna. Qui è vinificato in purezza, in botti grandi. Ne deriva un vino di ottima conservabilità, morbido, di corpo, con quella beva che soddisfa e che accompagna in tavola cibi emiliani e nazionali, essendo vino strutturato e di lunga durata.
