MARINFERNO is an anagram of “ Monferrina ”, the historic name of the agricultural company and the driving force behind this project.
MARINFERNO is a project born in 2016 to give a new direction to a historic farm in the Piacenza area located in Vicobarone, in Val Tidone, in the heart of the Piacenza hills.
The company has always been owned by the Sforza Fogliani family, who have been in these lands since 1700.
Landscape, creativity, and hospitality are at the heart of our project, which embraces sustainable agriculture and tourism.
We grow aromatic Malvasia di Candia, Ortrugo, Barbera, Bonarda, and Pinot Noir . We produce organic, "naturally messy" wines and are members of FIVI, the Italian Federation of Independent Winegrowers.
