About
A distinctive Riesling from the Saulheimer Probstey vineyard, grown on limestone-rich loess-loam soils with southern exposure. Planted in 1989, the old vines provide the foundation for a wine of remarkable depth and complexity. Hand-harvested, spontaneously fermented in traditional large oak barrels, and aged for 22 months on the full lees. Bottled unfiltered, without added sulfur. A Riesling with depth, fine texture, vibrant acidity, and mineral tension. Powerful yet elegant, with a long and complex finish.
