In 1972, Henning Hoesch, a German-born professor at Yale, left the American campus and acquired this 65-hectare estate, which was then untouched by any cultivation. He planted 3 hectares of vines, which he cultivated by experimenting with organic farming. His wines quickly became distinguished by their intensity and structure. His son, Sylvain, continued this adventure with the principles of respect for the soil, minimal intervention in the vineyard, and the use of modern winemaking techniques. The whites, typical of Provence, are vibrant, while the reds, of great authenticity, reflect the freshness of the Sainte-Victoire mountain. The perfectly controlled aging in amphorae and barrels allows the soils to express themselves fully.
Since September, Sylvain's eldest daughter, Clara, has joined the estate.
