La Ferme de la Sansonnière - Mark & Martial Angeli et Bruno Ciofi
In 1989, Mark Angeli opportunely bought the Sansonnière farm. This former mason rushes headlong into grape cultivation after having trained at Château La Tour Blanche, in Sauternes, with Jean-Luc Tantou. The man puts his foot in the stirrup to apply a biodynamic culture, which he sets up from his first vintage in 1990.
The local reception reserved for Mark Angeli is mixed, organic and biodynamic are largely on the margins at this time in the region. Despite everything, the Foucault brothers send him customers and the neo-winemaker takes his marks at the Sansonnière farm.
A zealous, idealistic and sensitive biodynamic viticulturalist, Mark Angeli essentially makes artisanal dry Chenin wines.
The doses of sulfur are low or nonexistent, and the harvest is obviously manual.
Bruno Ciofi, from the Pinte estate in Arbois, joined the team formed by Mark and his son, Martial Angeli.
All the vintages (from 7.7 hectares of vines in goblets) are available in the Vin de France appellation.
