Chateau Les Croisille - Simon et Germain Croisille , Nicolas Bach
Château les Croisille was born in 1979 when Cécile and Bernard Croisille decided to plant vines on a fallow property. Novices in the trade, they learn on the job and deliver their first ten harvests to the cooperative cellar. They then team up with a winemaker family in the village and learn winemaking. They sell almost all of their harvest to the trade for 10 years.
It was in 2000 that the Croisille vinified their first wine under the name of Château les Croisille after having renovated a house and a cellar in ruins in the heart of the village.
The arrival of their children Germain and Simon accompanied by their childhood friend Nicolas will mark the beginning of new ambitions for the estate: to produce organic, local wines and market them by themselves.
The estate was certified organic in 2013 and many cuvées will be produced. The estate has around thirty hectares of vines, a great playground for experimenting and producing all styles of wine.
Today the estate is certified biodynamic and produces about ten wines, mainly red, even if a small part of the production is reserved for whites.
The harvest is manual and the work in the cellar is very simple: no exogenous yeasts, no inputs. Only a small dose of sulfur when necessary.
The farms are respectful of the wine and we favor large containers.
