Domaine des 4 Pierres

First there is the estate and its terroir, then the grape varieties and finally the spirit of man. The whole forms a living organism in perpetual motion where Life expresses itself freely. The estate is located in Aragon, in Cabardès, northwest of Carcassonne on the first foothills of the Massif Central, at the crossroads of the southern and Atlantic winds. It is made up of two terroirs: clay-limestone on bedrock of former lake bottoms called "alveoline limestone", and for the El Pépé cuvée, hard limestone from Ventenac. These two terroirs are located 300 meters above sea level in a setting of wild Mediterranean nature. The vines are grown organically, with particular attention to copper against mildew and sulfur against powdery mildew. Three types of pruning are used The Languedoc gobelet or flat on upright grape varieties (Carignan), double cordon de Royat and Guyot. The manual harvest is done in boxes and the grapes are transformed in the cellar in a natural way.
