Domaine des Ronces

Family estate founded in 1950 in the municipality of Orbagna, located south of the Jura vineyards (south Revermont), on the AOC COTES DU JURA lands. The Domaine des Ronces is located 20 minutes south of Lons-le-Saunier, capital of the Jura, in the village of Orbagna. Over the years, the estate has grown to reach an area of 7 ha. In 2010, the estate was converted to Organic Agriculture, it was certified ORGANIC in 2013. In 2012, the estate focused on biodynamics (use of plants and natural preparations such as horn dung, silica and herbal tea to base of horsetail, nettle, wicker, dandelion, buckthorn ... for treatments). In 2016 the estate was certified Demeter with the succession of Kevin (son of Michel) who is the 3rd generation. The work of the vine is done manually (disbudding, trimming) and mechanically (work under the rows and work 1 row on 2). The harvest is done manually for 3 weeks, the grapes are brought to the cellar in 25 kg boxes for the respect of the grapes. The grapes are harvested and pressed, alcoholic fermentation starts naturally for the whites and cremant, it is 100% destemmed for the reds.
