Martin Texier

I have been based in St-Julien-en-St-Alban in Ardèche since 2015 on 10 ha, conducted in organic farming since the beginning. My vines are located half on the granite soils of St-Julien-en-St-Alban and the other half on the limestone hillside of Brézème, just on the other side of the Rhône. All the work is done by hand except for the tillage (one row out of two sown with plant cover in the fall and rolled in the spring, the other in permanent natural grass, the row stumbled in the fall and decavated in the spring ) and organic treatments (sulfur and copper, supplemented with pine terpenes, seaweed compost and orange essential oil). The grapes are harvested by hand in 13kg boxes brought back to the cellar to be vatted in whole bunches for the reds and pressed directly for the whites.
