The Domaine des chopins is located in Marchampt on the heights of Beaujolais. I cultivate 8 Hectares on hillsides. The treatments used are the same as in organic (sulfur/copper). Some plots are plowed with a trellis (tractor), others are grassed. The estate is not yet certified in Organic Agriculture, I work 8 hectares of vines alone and it was impossible for me to switch to organic farming in a single year. I preferred to switch over the plots that I vinify and gradually, from year to year, I switch over to organic plots. For the plots that I vinify, it could be converted to Organic Farming, but the specifications require that all the plots of the farm be passed or nothing... This is why I cannot have the certification.
