"Les vignes du château". The Schlossreben is from an area located in the commune of Saint-Hippolyte along an old path leading up to the Haut Koenigsbourg castle. It has a southern exposure on a slight and regular slope. It comes from a vineyard planted on granite alluvium from the Thannenkirch granite. The granite subsoil gives the wine great freshness, underlined by an intense salinity and a straight acidity. The shallow, sandy and stony soil as well as it's full southern exposure favors low yields and rapid ripening. Alc. 12,5% Vol.
