Giovanni Battista Mesina is a third generation shepherd born in Sardinia and now residing in Pianello near Perugia in Umbria. Il Chiaretto is approximately 90% Vernaccia Rossa and 10% Ciliegiolo and is a lively, elegant and natural Umbrian “light red” wine, with focused acidity, character from the grapes, and absolutely no added sulphur. It is ideal as an alternative to light red wine or fuller rosé – especially for cool summer evenings. Alc. 13% Vol.
