Vitikultur MOSER - Familie Moser
The name Moser is anything but unusual, but the wines from the family around Niki Moser are.
Biodynamics has been a priority since the early 2000s. A conviction. Because for the Mosers it‘s more than a label you just stick on. It is precisely this attitude that is expressed in the new name. For the Mosers, Demeter agriculture is part of their culture, open-hearted and full of respect for life. In viticulture everything merges. The past, the present and the future. This family has been connected with wine for 17 generations, with strong characters shaping the viticulture in different ways.
Today it is Niki, Kathi, Andrea, Nana and Jan who work on the farm every day. A holistic system of humans, animals and plants. Two Noriker horses, chickens and a small flock of sheep are part of this polyculture. These are the framework conditions that have become a way of life for the Mosers.
The vines for their wines are rooted in both the regions Kremstal and Lake Neusiedl. Vinification takes place in the cellar of the historic Atrium House. A place where nothing is mandatory and everything is possible. Where the finished lives next to the unfinished, the perfect next to the imperfect. Just like in nature. In this way, wines are created that the Moser family likes to drink themselves. Full of liveliness, nature‘s play with itself becomes visible in them. Niki, his daughter Kathi and her husband Jan accompany this game, giving the wines their independence and celebrating the autonomy of the moment.
This family is on the move, focused on the essentials and loving the unpredictable. Making wine is the illusion of predictability. It is order and chaos. 0.75l of freedom.
Moser is Vitikultur. Vitikultur is Moser.
