Château Barouillet - Vincent Alexis

A family estate on the heights of Bergerac for 8 generations, I converted the vineyard to organic as soon as I took over in 2010 and we are now Demeter certified on the 48ha of the estate.

We work with the utmost respect for our terroir, harvesting a large portion of our grapes by hand (50%), vinifying without any additives, and increasingly favoring aging in amphorae and concrete tanks. With a love of diversity and an irresistible desire to create unique wines, we cultivate over twenty different grape varieties on the estate, including Trousseau, Poulsard, and Chenin Blanc, in order to showcase the full richness that our terroir has to offer.
