Elisa Guerin Wines - Guerin Family

Family estate of 5 ha in the Moulin à Vent & Chiroubles appellations.

In 2019, Elisa returned to Beaujolais and initially produced her first vintage on her own, using indigenous yeasts, in the "Les Thorins" terroir in Moulin-à-Vent (see attached description of Elisa Guerin). Over time, she convinced her parents that to obtain fine, terroir-driven wines, they needed to move towards organic farming and gentle, minimal-intervention winemaking. They joined her for the 2020 vintage under the Famille Guerin brand. Elisa also continues to run a small négociant business producing Beaujolais-Villages wines.

No organic certification. The vines are cultivated according to organic farming principles but are not certified. At the moment, it doesn't seem worthwhile to pay for organic certification. Given the size of our estate, we prefer to base our commitment to agro-ecological practices on the trust between us and our customers rather than relying on inspections.
