Dec 2023Amazing experience at the Ristorante Marc Lanteri, the Chef was very welcoming and prepared a wonderful tasting menu. The Truffle pasta were exquisite. We tasted a Babaresco red wine, excellent choice proposed by the wine waiter. We strongly recommend this restaurant!

May 2022An unforgettable experience! From the warm welcome of the hostess Amy (in the medieval castle of the very pretty town of Grinzane Cavour) wife of the starred chef Marc Lanteri - who showed great flexibility and openness both to our intolerances and to a vegetarian diet - to succulent dishes culminating in an absolutely sensational food & wine pairing. The food of the Franco-Italian Chef is Piedmontese and cooks with local (even the foie gras), organic and seasonal products. Top pairings: artichoke salad with a PetNat of freisa, malvasilla and barbera, Hokkaido pumpkin soup with chestnut and scallops paired with a cilliegiolo from Tuscany (the ancestor of Sangiovese) all served by a creative sommelier whose menu is full of pearls of natural Italian wines.
Jul 2021It looked promising: great reviews on tripadvisor, pictures on the website gave an impression of a very refined cuisine, the setting is indeed very charming but unfortunately the food was rather bland in taste. We took the 4 courses traditional menu (local ingredients), but we didnt get the specific taste of piemonte which you would expect for a restaurant that charges about 100 euros per person. The wine however was great.
Aug 2019Was a disappointing experience to be honest, food lacked flavor and didn’t match the prize or location at all. Wine was amazing but also expensive, service spotless but also what you would expect from a Michelin restaurant. Overall not worth the € unfortunately.
