The small family owned “Zurab Kviriashvili Vineyards” was founded in 2002 by Zurab Kviriashvili. Located in the centre of the Alazani Valley, 7-9 km to the right of the Alazani River in the city of Telavi. Since 2003 In Telavi, Zurab Kviriashvili started construction of the wine cellar, which has 14 Qvevri vessels with a quantity of 12 tons. The company has been producing Qvevri wines since 2012 in accordance to the Georgian traditional method. As organic farming company we are using Bordeaux mixture and all the activities in vineyards (pruning, treatment, harvest) and cellar are done by hand. We are not certified as organic grape grower, but “Zurab Kviriashvili Vineyards” LLC became member of the “Natural Wine Association” in 2018. Every year the Association carries out visits to verify our work in the vineyards and in the cellar.
